Farewell Ride and Beers for Doug - 6/22 4pm BST

Post by Mkidd3 »

As many of you know MRC member Doug Kennedy is leaving us for Austin Texas. Apparently he's had enough of the New England winters or figured that after his 2013 win at Battenkill why the heck continue living and training in this crappy climate... ;) All kidding aside Doug has accepted an offer for a new position in his current company in Texas.

To say farewell to Doug we are going to have a ride (Jeremy said he will get us a loop) and a few beers to celebrate his new job/move and thank him for all the work hes done to help make MRC one of the best clubs in the area.

So please post up that you are in for the ride and beers so that we can have a rough idea on people attending either or both.

I am racing at Hodges Village Dam at 2 pm so no ride for me but I would like to register for the beer option.

Racing Hodges Dam that morning, 4 hours should be enough recovery, right? May just show up for the beer portion of the day - keep us posted as to when approx. ride FINISH may be.

Oops, looked quickly at bikereg and chose the race with 2 laps, hehe. Yes 2pm start WITH YOU for 3 laps. So no ride for me, JUST beer.

My FIL is in town from Florida for the weekend, so will do my best to escape for a few hours and join everyone.

I will be out of town but please express my heartfelt thanks to Doug for all he's done for the club, both on and off the bike.

@Stefan, I literally just came to the site to say "I'll be watching the US Game at the bar". I hope OGD likes soccer or good riddance

They put the hockey game on for us, I don't see why they won't put the World Cup match on.
