I am going to San Diego and looking from some tips on biking, known group rides, or whatever. Bringing my bike with me.

If you're interested in longer loops with more elevation gain (70+ miles w/ 8000+ ft. of climbing), Chris Pare has been Magellan for several San Diego trips and probably has files for some great courses (Kitchen Creek/Engineers, Palomar, The Yellow Deli Ride).
