VFMR on 2/20?

Post by ahamilton »

Any Zwifters out there want to ride early tomorrow AM? Can start as early as 5:30, or as late as 6:30. Would like to do 90 minutes of sincere effort and could easily be goaded into 120 minutes if circumstances were right.

I'll probably join you, but will probably not go the full 90 - 120 minutes. Thinking 5:30 start.

I guess 5:30 is the start time. See you there.

Alan is a beast! We did a three lap hard tempo effort with sprint points. Alan took seven of the nine that were available. I took two and promptly blew up and limped around for a lap and a half.... ouch!

I tried to set a hard pace so that Alan and Mark would not have any sprint in them. It worked . . . on ME.

Got a 3 lap PR though . . . 99th out of 1,400+.

I am pretty sure I was aided significantly because I was on a KICKR which (according to others who can measure KICKR and crank/BB power simultaneously) gave me a 10% power boost. :-) You can be sure that I will not win any real sprints this year! And I fully appreciated the lead-outs Kevin.

Nice seeing you guys this morning. I didn't see a VFMR post for today though.
Today was my first time on the island other than a lap on Wednesday where I tried to get things dialed in.
How did you total the sprint points? Does it do it for you?

I was surprised and happy to see you. I also saw a T. Busick. A relation? You have to keep track of your own points. Maybe when they start allowing us to set up private races we'll be able to define the type of ride and have things like sprint and KOM points. I am going to post a ride for tomorrow AM in a separate thread.

T. Busick is Tim, my brother. He works with John Morrissey, but isn't in great shape right now.
Most likely I can't ride tomorrow AM, supposed to take the kids skiing. But keep posting up.

We all independently chose the vintage "Orange Crush" jersey and orange frame.

If you look at the pic that Mark posted from last week's vFMR it's pretty funny. We all chose the same jersey and bike color completely on our own—no coordination. I think that's really funny. I'm a little off in that I didn't don a helmet.
