WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
65 and sunny beats 35 and raining every time.
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Hopefully in from Stow Plaza
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Not a lot of 'INs'
People are afraid to ride with Pare again after Saturday?
This is supposed to be a kinder gentler ride since many of us are heading to Battenkill this weekend.
Of course, everything's relative.

Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
I am hoping to be there as well. Just not definite yet. I would meet at Stow Plaza.
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Going by the book. I'm in full on taper mode.
And to be fair Saturday was billed as a smackdown ride, this is a "standard" WNR. Somewhere Russ had posted the ride "rules" for the WNR, its probably worth digging those out since its the start of the season and there may be new members interested.

Here it is, scroll down to Wednesday Night Ride.
Also note that the Tuesday Morning Ride is now retired in favor of the Monsters Bullet Train.

The trick, William Potter, is not minding that it hurts.
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Is it still lurking if I post that I'm lurking?
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
In. And don't worry, I won't slow down the Battenkill team since I know the route, and I'm happy to meander my way home on my own if I get dropped on the first hill.
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
I'm lurking but out. Thx for referring to the "Group rides and start locations" thread. I'll give it some update attention when things slow down a bit...
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Soccer practice rescheduled to tonight. Out.
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Planning on in from p&r. Kev, it's a crunch for me from the train, even if it is on time. Will do what I can to make 5:30, but may not be able to roll out at 5:30
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
I have never started from the PnR, but I suspect to meet the Stow plaza crew on the road you have to leave the PnR before 5:30.mfwestbe wrote:Planning on in from p&r. Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Yes you need to leave 30 minutes early from the PnR to meet the Stow crew at the intersection of Boxboro Rd / West Acton Rd (aka "5 corners" [which is really 4]). So that would mean leaving Berlin at 5pm.
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
It takes ~ 40 minutes (13 miles) from the p&r to the rendezvous (It took me 42 minutes solo in less-than-idealpace21 wrote:Yes you need to leave 30 minutes early from the PnR to meet the Stow crew at the intersection of Boxboro Rd / West Acton Rd (aka "5 corners" [which is really 4]). Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Kevin,
Correction, you initially missed the train last week, Smudger made us loop back to the Rendezvous just in case you were nearly there.
Of course we rolled out exactly at 5:30 and were going pretty hard from the start since it was raining knives and we didn't want to stay out any longer than necessary.

Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
It's pretty cool to watch everyone start from different locations then it all comes together nearly perfectly.
Strava Flyby is cool.
And Smudger wise.

Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
It will be very interesting to play the TOB races on Flyby.

Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
"Raining knives" LOL
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Fully "in", but will be meeting everyone at the intersection of Boxboro Rd / West Acton Rd four corner intersection in Stow. I have a request to the group to drop the Pinnacle Road A group add-on down and up in order to cut the time.
Re: WNR -- 5:30pm Stow Plaza
Is that the norm? I only recall doing that once before.jraguin wrote:I have a request to the group to drop the Pinnacle Road A group add-on down and up in order to cut the time.
