Hello Again!

Post by jmagro »

Hey guys, I'm Baaaack!!!

GE is moving me to the Boston area again early July, but this time it's for at least 2 years! Still working out of Billerica. So, two things:

A) Most importantly, will you take me back onto MRC?! Are there other bike teams in Boston? Warning, last time I moved to MA, I had been riding in CO for 6 months prior, this time I'm coming from Cleveland.. Read into my fitness as you will..
B) Are any of you Realtors, know Realtors, or could otherwise point me in the direction of sort of affordable living in the Boston area.. If you can help on this point, my email is jmagro@alumni.nd.edu (no need to spam the forum) and I will surely appreciate the help!

Can't wait to get back on the road with all of you, hope the season has gone well so far!

Joe, welcome back!

And no, there are no other bike teams in Boston. Just us. Glad to have you back on the team!

YES!!! I was holding out hope you would come back. Seriously, if you are working in Billerica, then MRC is probably the best racing club out this way in the suburbs. There is NEBC, who are some good guys, but they race far less overall and definitely less as a team (more as individuals). To be fair, there is Bikeway Source, but those guys tend to focus less on the road and more on CX and MTB these days.

So MRC it is! I will send you a separate email on some places to live closer to Billerica (like Acton :))

Welcome back Joe! We'll have to work on getting you back in shape for crit and CX season, not to mention the TTT.

Great to have you back Joe. Several of us know a mountain biker from Cleveland who claimed to have no fitness then proceeded to kill us on the trails so any lack of conditioning is just temporary. In addition to racing and TTT we need your help on a certain Tuesday Night training ride out of Bedford (next door to Billerica). There's a former Russian national Junior team rider who is killing us.

I will send you an email with an introduction to a club member who is a realtor in Harvard

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to returning! Thanks to those who gave me Realtor/ living suggestions ,will let you know where I end up. Group ride out of Bedford is perfect, and that TTT is a critical part of my race calendar!

Welcome back (almost), Joe!
