Landry's Ride Sat 4/2 7am Westboro 2hrs - NEED RIDE LEADERS

Post by JeremyC »

As everyone knows, Landry's is a great sponsor and not only donates to our races but gives us great discounts and special deals (think awesome Lazer helmet!!):

We need 3 volunteers (at least, more welcome) every week on Saturday at 7am. If you need a hard workout, lead the A ride. If you need a recovery or easy opener ride, do the B or C ride. Consider this one of the keys ways to contribute to the club.

So who is in for this Saturday? Count me as 1, so I need at least 2 more but would appreciate more company.

Also, if you can volunteer to be the "Leader" of the ride leaders for 1 week (ie. post up here for a specific saturday and organize), please email me which Saturday it would be greatly appreciated. Let's start with April only, I'll need 4 (April 9, 16, 23, 30) not including this Saturday which is me :)

IN, but what is the plan? Are we going to post up a route or just tag along?
Chris P had some good routes from landry's a couple years ago. The one up Christian hill was good.
I can't really hit this at WNR A pace, need to save a little for the wind and snow on Sunday.

Thanks Chris and Carl. Good questions Chris, I'll confirm logistics and post up here. And yes you and I are in the same boat. If Marblehead is cancelled we can crush the A-train otherwise this is an opener ride :)

A couple of other notes:

1. Everyone should "Like" the Westboro Landry's facebook page so they can see ride updates:

https://www.facebook.com/LandrysBicyclesWestboro/

2. Everyone on the RACE TEAM will need to lead a ride AT LEAST ONCE. For now it's a friendly encouragement, but lack of responses will turn encouragement into harassment. Hopefully it won't come to that

Marblehead on Sunday is the primary reason I said "not this week," but if it's known that Marblehead is off the table before the Landry's ride then I'd probably be in.

Full disclosure: If the forecast for Sunday is accurate I will not be racing regardless of cancellation.

Even if we race, you should do this ride on Saturday. B group is easy and since Marblehead isn't an A-race for you then you should train right through it anyway :)

@SkinnyPhat So I'm now thinking 'in' for this. Are you all-set for ride leaders? I could do the 'A' or maybe the 'B' if a ride leader is needed. I saw the "Landry's Bolton B33" route on Strava.

If nobody has plans for a route yet, this route Pare put together a couple years ago for Landry's was good.

Are we doing the "Bolton 33" route? If so, I'll meet up with the A group at W Main and Crawford.

OK let's do this:

Chris's route is the A-route

https://ridewithgps.com/routes/4479444

My Bolton B33 is the B route:

https://www.strava.com/routes/4524106 (sorry for the differing technologies people)

C route - Check back here later

Patrick I'll need you to meet at the store because you may be leading a ride.

Everyone should download these routes to Garmin.

Also in. Also available to help lead B ride. I don't have cool technology and don't know the A route roads.

New guy here. I'd like to do the B ride. Does it start from Landry's itself?

I was wondering if that might end up being the case.
