Re: New member intro & Questions
Welcome aboard. Always nice to have some more people who do tris and road. Now just add cross to that list.
There are the Tuesday night "World's" as a group road ride/race. I've never done it, but some guys in the club do. I think it starts in Needham.
There is also a Tuesday night TT/brick workout in Southboro. It is held by club members, but is informal (keep your own time). It starts at the intersection of Rtes 85 and 30. I am not sure of the start time, but think it is around 5:30.
There are going to be a lot of us at Patriot, and some at Moose. I dumped Moose for Lancaster since it is right by my house.
Swims will be starting at Walden in the early AM. I do track workouts at Bentley College on Tuesday nights, and tempos on Thursday night from BC.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Gary

Alex,
I assume since you're out of Northeastern, you're looking for rides out of the Boston area; Landry's Boston hosts a Tuesday night ride at 6pm out of Cleveland Circle. Their is also the Dover TT on Tuesday night & the Charlie Baker TT on Wednesday night out of Concord. Their is also the 'Crack O Dawn' club that rides M-W-F mornings @ 5:30am; & a ride out of Newton (I think they meet near Wells Ave to start) that a lot of pros 1/2/3's show up for. Cort Cramer might be able to give you more insight on that ride.

Tuesday Night World Championships (Nahanton Park, Newton): Location: Nahanton Park, Newton (Across From Wells Ave) Ride Leaves: 6:00 PM sharp Average Ride Speed: 22+ mph When: Every Tuesday night. Rides start first Tuesday after daylight savings and ends last Tuesday of daylight savings. This is a show-and-go ride geared to high intensity training. If you are looking for a recovery ride, this is not the ride for you. An arrowed, 28 mile rolling loop that winds through Needham, Dover, Natick, and Medfield. Attacking and sprinting are encouraged in order to keep the pace up. No one waits.
Note: Ride start actually is 0.5mi down road at median on Greendale Ave. From Nahanton, continue west on Kendrick, cross over 95, and take your first left, which is Greendale.

Does anyone have the PDF for the Capo catalog? I know we had one last year.

Re: New member intro & Questions
crack o dawn rides from newton city hall m/w/f at 0545 SHARP and wanders out through weston, lincoln, etc. pace varies by who shows up. (the 'bovine' option is slower and flatter than glezen/ regular.)
crack o dawn ride t/r from jcc in newton. its on the other side of the light at wells ave. also, 0545 SHARP. this ride winds though needham and dover. i feel its a faster pace, but i dont know how true that is.
both rides have a 'long' option that is, duh, longer. the 'long' section is a bit slower, and turns off about 2/3 through the ride.
guessing, i think the m/w/f pace is ~18-20, and the t/r pace is 19-21 (except for the part along claybrooke, which is commonly ~30)
