Post by KTeves »

Anyone interested in the Tuesday Night Worlds on Zwift tonight? Might be fun to employ some team tactics.

Hallmark holiday. I'll buy some flowers then hit the trainer for 2 hours tonight. No race though, that would be bad prep for the Barn of Doom tomorrow night.

At least in the BoD there are rest intervals.

Yeah, the Zwift races are no picnic. I'll try to maximize the draft.

BTW, let's use the MRC Discord channel: https://discord.gg/mjN93h2 —assuming we can speak :)

A question for anyone with a smart trainer who does these races or any of the other spirited rides on Zwift:

While doing a Spirited Zwift, do you use ERG mode from an outside app like Wahoo Fitness to attack or not get dropped or ramp up a sprint?

If not, then you might want to give it a shot. I found this very useful on Saturday and will employ it more often.

Why? Just play the game, I say. If you can do it with ERG mode then it shouldn't be necessary.

This was a fun race. Not as hard throughout as the KISS morning crit last Tues., but still a good, hard race. After a fast first lap the peloton settled into a more moderate pace I think because everyone felt going on a break without teammates and not knowing anyone would join was just a waste of effort. Having a few teammates might really make things interesting.
