Also, if we want to do a race simulation of KHMRR it would make the most sense to me if we did it this week.
Any interest?

In!
Possible interest in the race sim, as I agree doing next week would not be ideal.

Some how I got the day off. I am in. Might even have my new bike that doesn't have a blown out bottom bracket
Re: WNR - 5/8, 5:30 PM, 110 Grill
You should do the race sim. I'm 50/50 work is tight tomorrow.

Ok, the plan is to do a Race simulation for anyone who wants to. It should be fun.
Doing the same thing as last year, Here is a description from last year:
Depending on how many people are in, hopefully we can form 2-3 teams of 4-5 people each. We meet at 110 Grill as usual. From there we roll to Harvard in a steady no-drop paceline for a warm up. Choose captains, who pick their teams (like pick-up basketball), and take 5 minutes for the teams to separate and discuss tactics. We do 2 laps of the race course in full (yet safe) race mode (expect 50-60mins of suffering). The winner is the TEAM with the first rider across the line, no matter who it is. We wait for everyone to regroup in Harvard center and we head back to 110 Grill.
We'll sprint for a closer line than the race so we don't fly into the intersection.
Needless to say safety has to be #1 on everyone's mind including traffic.

in for race sim lads
Re: WNR - 5/8, 5:30 PM, 110 Grill
I got 60 mins of suffering last night at the Phat Tuesday ride. I think I'm in but I don't know if I will be of any help to anyone's team.

I didn't do any riding last night, and I don't know if I will be of any help to anyone's team.

What's the route heading to the race course? From the 110?

Can't make the ride tonight (partly schedule, partly due to horrible allergies that would render a "race sim" laughable)
Did however go out there this morning. Race course is completely swept clean.
Couple areas to watch for (still working with DPW to get some filling done):
1) The usual spots at the Rt2 overpass on Littleton Rd. Holes right along the bridge girders. Better however than last year
2) Some rough stuff 1/4 mile or so from Veryfine plant. Stay to the left.
3) Maybe halfway up Oak Hill climb, it seems one spot has gotten a bit worse each week. This unfortunately is in Littleton where my FD contact doesn't have the same pull with DPW.
4) Upper Oak Hill (Harvard), in between Slough and Woodchuck (so before the finish descent), there's a decent size hole almost in the middle of the lane. Right near a reddish barn. This one would be nasty. Definitely forwarding this for DPW to get on.
The finish looked good. A couple spots that were issues last year (near the "dip") have been patched.

Re: WNR - 5/8, 5:30 PM, 110 Grill
I'm in but will be riding directly to Harvard and will meet you there. And yes I also have tired legs (pre-excuse)
Re: WNR - 5/8, 5:30 PM, 110 Grill
Does anybody else want to give an excuse?
Re: WNR - 5/8, 5:30 PM, 110 Grill
I have a standing desk, so I don't rest my legs....

WAIT! . . . I just drank a Starbucks coffee, and now I'm feeling like $1,000,000!
