Re: Wednesday 09/03 mid- day recreation ride -
Diane,
I'm free Wednesday. I tend to avg. 13-14 mph at most. I live in Worcester, so Westboro is roughly halfway between you and me. I could meet you at 10:00 in downtown Westboro (the rotary, Routes 30 & 135). I'd bike there from home. If you drive, I'm not sure where to tell you to park. Maybe the Westboro Shopping Center at Rt. 9 & Lyman Street. (Lyman Street connects Route 9 and Route 30.) Then again, if you're driving, how about Tufts U. veterinary campus on Rt. 30 in North Grafton? There's a gravel parking area at the corner of Glen Street [the second Glen Street, actually] on the eastern edge of campus, on your right just before you enter Grafton from Westboro.
We could do a modified version of any one of the Grafton rides shown here:

The Grafton-Upton ride is relatively flat; the Berlin Explorer is hillier and can be shortened or lengthened.
I'm at work tonight until midnight if you'd rather talk than type. 508-793-9108.
