Road Racing Season.

Post by taudep »

Hi All,

Question, I'm starting to see a lot of chatter for the upcoming road season about a lot of specific races.

Do a lot of these races fill-up, i.e., I need to be registering soon, as opposed to March?

If so, I'm a newbie, and have no idea which races fill up, so if you guys start talking about a race, let us know if we need to get on the registration pronto. It's hard for me to think about spring biking right now, with the ski season just getting on the way..

Thanks,
--Todd

Most races don't fill up very fast (like Battenkill), but they will fill up. Even Battenkill registration was open for a couple weeks last year.

A lot of races will fill the Cat 4, or Cat 4/5, fields very quickly. Sometimes Cat 5 fields also fill relatively quickly because they have lower field size limits. But those are only general observations - popular races have a higher fill factor in all fields.
