Saturday afternoon ride

Post by ahamilton »

I will be riding some time Saturday afternoon, or late morning. I have very few constraints on time or place. Anyone else riding this weekend? Board's been really quiet, so I thought I'd stop waiting and post something.

Preferences:
- Would like to get in some decent hill work
- Would like to ride at least 2 hours
- Would like some company
- Would like location to be within 1/2 hour drive of Sudbury

Alan,

I'm in for all your requirements. My daughter has her swim league championship meet at BU in the morning. If you could hold off on the start time to 1:30 or 2pm I'm sure I'll be home and able to meet you at Stow by then.

Hmmm... that route to Wachusett sounds perfect for what I need. A lot of pain between there and the mountain. But since I got the ball rolling on an afternoon ride, will it irritate people if I bail? Afternoon warmth vs. great route. What to do? Will check in later...

Yo Scott, I knew you were out there somewhere. Your boy Carl has been putting the hammer down lately - we're trying to keep him in line. Tomorrow, I'mk meeting Brett @ 4 Overlook DR. which is left off W.Main St on the way to Grafton center (from Westboro center). any logistical probs, 774-212-3380, Joe

I'll meet you guys in Stow parking lot at I guess between 1:45 and 2:00. I did a serious number on my neck last week....could barely move on Mon/Tues...soI'll start out with you guys and see how it responds. Cortisone next week, so I should be fine after that :)

I just signed up for the morning ride to Wachusett. Choosing hills over warmth. Hope I don't regret it. Have fun out there.

Knee reacted very cranky to the twisting I did in the AM on the black ice. Felt OK on the flats- but at the slightest hill into Littleton it hurt to push it... Back on the safety of the trainer tomorrow night till it feels better:( Great day to be out there though and to see everyone...
