Sat AM Stow ride - 7AM Shaws Plaza start

Post by irusk »

Gents and ladies:
All this Weds night ride smack talk has the juices flowing. How about Stow/Oak Hill x2 on Sat. I propose a 7AM start(could be talked into earlier, depending on weather forecast). Let's see who the early season KOM is.

Don't think there was much smack getting spoken on wednesday we were all trying to hang on Michael's wheel up the hills.

I'm in for 2 loops starting at 7am. Weather is questionable but need to get out and ride.

Haven't had the EN lobotomy yet so I have no idea what Kimball's hieroglyphics mean but if it makes him ride like a granny up Oak Hill I'm going to love it

Kimball, you have your new ride yet? I'm thinking of dusting off the P3. Need to get used to the aero position again.

If one of the 12' @ zone 4-5 is up Oak-HIll it won't be granny riding. More like oxygen deficit.

BRING THE P3 !
BRING THE P3 !

that said, I will play it by the weather --- yeah, yeah, I know, but the season is early enough to not have to push a wet day if I don't have to -

will plan to be there b/t 0630 and 0700 if coming - don't wait if not there.

so , what time is the Kimball Armada setting sail? 6:00? 6:30? 7:00? roadies are a bit more dense than the tri tribe . we don't do hieroglyphics either.

knowing steve when he says warm up at 0600 there's probably an even earlier stealth ride rolling out at 0400... guy would make a great Seal or Ranger.

To clarify, the roll out time for loop 1 will be 7AM by the Dunkin Donuts on Rt 117 (Shaws Plaza) in Stow. I plan to ride over, leaving my neighborhood in Sudbury at 6:30 (Paul, care to join me?).

Ian,

was tt Steve as I read your post - looking at three weather web sites I can pretty much say I will be spinning in my basement tomorrow...

I was planning on the BRICK vs. 2 loops and will drive over to lock the bike for the run (IF the weather coopoerates... which I doubt)

next time though... I do want to get some 2-loop Oakhills - pace-line Smudger style in this spring. (hope to jump on some of the Wed niters soon)

Today was a great ride, thanks.. Chris you are an animal on that single speed, fantastic lead out for the town line. John you may have edged me out in the sprint today, but watch your back!!

With nothing over 240W I'll need eyes in the back of my head to see you ;)

Saying that I can't remember having to sprint much in an IM (unless you get a drafting penalty from what I remember!!!).
