Friday Morning Ride
I'm going to do the Friday Morning Ride tomorrow, starting at Guiseppe's on Hudson Rd in Northboro. Hill workout with coffee afterwards. Anyone want to join me? I'm flexible on the start time, but will say 6AM for now. This isn't written in stone, though. I don't have any morning appointments, so I could definitely go later. Sunrise isn't until after 6:30, so lights are "required".
Re: Friday Morning Ride
Do you think if we did 6:30 we could get by without lights? I'm flexible on time, but not flexible on watts because I have none left. What's you plan for the hills?

Re: Friday Morning Ride
I'm okay with 6:30...and you could probably do it without lights. Sunrise at 6:32 according to the web.
My plan was the same hills we did over the summer.

Re: Friday Morning Ride
OK, I'll be ready for a 6:30 start. I will be doing the hills at winter pace, so you'll have to wait at the top for me for a minute or two.
Mmmmm... coffee.

Re: Friday Morning Ride
I'm in. Beats the hell out of riding the trainer tonight, which was my original plan. I'll be there around 6:15 for a 6:30 roll out.

6:30 it is. See you there.
I now have to be at Harvard at 10AM, so I won't too long at coffee.

Well boys, you sure made my legs feel like the proverbial "bag of spanners" today. I'll be feeling it tomorrow while I'm working on the kitchen cabinets. I am definitely looking forward to "spring training" on those hills.
Re: Friday Morning Ride
Was it light enough? My hometown (Berlin) would love to go one of these fridays... Love Sawyer Hill

Re: Friday Morning Ride
It was this week, but every week it would have to start a few minutes later. Based on today, I doubt I'll be doing any more FMRs until the spring, unless there's a "granny gear" edition posted.
Re: Friday Morning Ride
It's a great loop. We started right at 6:30 (maybe even a few minutes before), light was good. We did an abbreviated loop, basically skipping a long warmup and heading straight for Sawyer Hill -- 42 degrees didn't seem cold by the top. 19 miles total, just over an hour, short and "sweet". Would love to do it again next week, providing mother nature complies...

I'll be out of town next week, but you guys are welcome to do the ride without me.
