This would be great warmup for D2R2 for sure...how do you think the wife would take it on her b'day?

@Bruce: My wife is used to those kind of shenanigans. 4 years in a row I did 24 Hours of Old Pueblo...which is usually on Valentines Day.

@Bruce.
You have to be signed up for the D2R2 for it to be a good tune up, right? Have a great day with your wife!
Speaking of the D2 only 40 spots left!

From the FAQ

“What kind of bike should I bring, Road or Cross?”

Either bike is great. We recommend slick tires, thorn resistant tubes and/or 25C tires to help prevent flat tires from happening on the dirt roads. You should have a seat pack to fix a flat if SRAM is unavailable for a wheel change.
I am riding my road bike as the course description labels the dirt roads as maintained.

I just registered. Sounds like too much fun to miss. I'm doing it on my road bike, st'd gears and 23mm tires. I'll take bonus tubes though.

I'm open to carpooling if anyone is interested, but, I'm planning to stay for the post-ride festivities!
