I try to ride in 1 or 2 times a week depending on my travel schedule. Unfortunately, I've been traveling a lot the past 2 months. I ride in from Holliston and follow 16 to Beacon as well. I'm traveling again this week but hope to ride in tomorrow.
What time do you ride in and return? How far in do you ride? Rich M and I occasionally meet in Kenmore to ride home usually around 5:30.

commuters on rt 16?
Re: commuters on rt 16?
Mike,
I typically head out of Ashland at ~ 6:45am and will sometimes meet up with Shawn Landon in Natick on the way into Boston. We take 135 to 16 to a smalll detour in Waban that puts us on Beacon St and then all the way into Kenmore/Comm Ave.
As Len pointed out, we've been able to coordinate a 5:30pm meeting in Kenmore on the way home.
I won't be doing this for the next few weeks as I'm heading to France to watch/ride the Alps during the tour but will be back at it upon my return.
Rich

Re: commuters on rt 16?
Mike, Rich, Len, etc.
I also commute on this route but more often similar routes from N.Natick/Wayland line to Boston (s.station/ft. point channel area) or sometimes shorter just N.Natick to Wellesley Farms (Framingham commuter rail) or N.Natick to Needham Junction (Needham commuter rail). That said, my routes are usually a little different since I'm not that crazy about Rt. 16 past about Rt. 9 going inbound. For my main route, I usually ride or parallel Rt. 30 eventually into Watertown Sq. and then the river roads into Harvard Sq. then the bike path into Back Bay (about 22 miles). For my southern route, I usually ride thru S.Natick, Dover, Needham via Dover Rd./Charler River St. then in thru Newton Lower Falls and Brookline via Brookline St. and Newton St. and (about 25 miles). I also have a couple of northern routes thru Weston/Wayland and one further north up into Lincoln (up to 35 miles - usually do them only one way). I am all over the place on days, routes and distances (and train or no train).

I also commute from Ashland to Newton corner. Not as much as I use to but in a hurry I go down 135 to 16 or eliot to dover road. I usually head our around 6:30 or so but time is a little flexible.

Re: commuters on rt 16?
sent you a PM with my email address. I commute on my fixed gear so I won't be setting any speed records but still manage a good pace.
