Saturday 11/13 8AM -- SQB ride?

Post by pace21 »

Due to family stuff and kids' birthdays I won't be 'cross-ing this weekend, but I would like to get out for a good road ride. The weather looks great for Saturday, I'd like to do a 2-3 hour ride in the AM. I'm actually fairly open to suggestions -- how about a revival of the SQB (Saturday Quad Buster) ride? Leave from Roche Bros. in Westboro, and since I don't really know the loop I took a guess:

It would be great if one of the locals (Rob, PJ, Stefan, Coley, who else?) could make it and lead the way....

I've only done this ride once (and may never do it again with the mountain goat crew) but this is the original route map which may have changed since the inception.

We've done several variations, but Michael's map looks about right.

Would love to do this, but my wife's out of town until late Saturday, so I won't be able to.

I wish I could lead but at present a) don't have the legs or lungs and b) will be at Teamworks from 8:30-10am for a soccer clinic. I might head out Sunday if anyone is game. No soccer games until 2pm for the girls then.

Chris, would looove to do this since it's been too long but I have a coaching obligation (h.s. cross country meet). Rain check?
To climb steep hills requires a slow pace at first.

Guys Rob has a great cross/road ride leavimg from his house in Natick thru Wellesley, Dover etc... nice mix of off road/on road. some technical sections, a little running, 15% road. A good size group did it today. I'm looking to hook something up for Sat AM. Innerested?

Due to lack of a local ride leader and the fact that I don't know these roads real well, I'm gonna cancel this ride and do a Tour de Franklin instead. All are welcome, I'm planning to head out from my house at 8am. PM me for address. Will probably shoot for 35-40 miles.
