Friday Morning Ride

Post by onegeardoug »

It's time. FMR 2011 is on. Start/finish at Tazza D'oro coffee shop (aka Guiseppe's Grill, 35 Solomon Pond Rd, Northboro). Ride starts promptly at 6AM; no 5 minute rule on weekday mornings!

The route is a hard 21-22 miles with LOTS of steep hills, and a sprint. Typically this is a very hard effort, with a smack-down on each hill. I'm racing Battenkill, so won't be going all out, but this should be a good "leg opener" for Sunday.

Post-ride coffee and banter at Tazza D'oro.

The traditional route is:

I also have a new alternative route that we may try:

Can't resist doing this, even if it's so close to B'Kill on Sunday. We'll need some lights at 6?

Sunrise is 6:18; twilight at 5:45. Shouldn't need lights.

I will be a regular for this ride, however after last sunday's sufferfest I'm going to politely decline this week.

Russ, take it easy, we need you to be fresh on Sunday.

If it's dry (or almost dry) I will try to make it. I will be very useful to those trying to take it easy; I am so SLOOOOOOW right now that if you stick with me you'll be forced to soft pedal up the hills.
