What is Wachusett Mtn. auto-road Status?

Has anyone been to Wachusett Mtn?
Can we ride all the way to the top, or ... snow from ski trails still blocking the road ?

Ski season closed just over a week ago.
Itching to ride to the top!

The road is still closed and looks to be that way for a bit. It appears the groomers cleared most of the snow off the road so the boys can get back to work. The binder course is down on the botton part and hopefully the whole road just needs the top coat which shouldn't take long. The road should be rideable between melt out and continued construction if you time it right. Just let us know.

Yep, I went to the summit today (Easter) .. ."up the down road". All alone at the top.

Very nice surface they have there (still needs top coat) and they have removed the nasty bumps on the way down from the top.

Ride it while you can!

Bunch of us went up today. Had to duck under the gate, but otherwise, no issues. Two places along the road have dirt-filled trenches across them but were not a problem.

NOTE: the water fountain outside the ranger station has been removed. There's just a Dasani vending machine there now. Go inside and fill your bottles in the rest room.
