So I'll be wearing red, white and blue. I know a lot of the top dogs will be out of town but that just means it's my chance to look like a hero for a short time.
Hoping to do 3 hours or more endurance pace (ha!) or slightly more. Early-ish start if possible.
Will entertain route suggestions from interested parties.
EDIT: Bailed on this ride (sorry Jim). Now going on this one at noon.
Sat 3/17 - I'm riding even though I don't have a green kit
Re: Sat 3/17 - I'm riding even though I don't have a green k
Not a top dog, but three hours with you will help me be one (in my dreams anyways). IN! Post details when know them. Looks like a great day for ride (sunny in upper 50's)!
Re: Sat 3/17 - I'm riding even though I don't have a green k
9 a.m. start? Should be about 50ºF by then. Stow plaza start, head SW towards the FMR route maybe? Or how about an exploratory adventure out towards FItchburg or Ayer for a change of scenery?
Re: Sat 3/17 - I'm riding even though I don't have a green k
Lets go with 7 AM if you can. Others are gonna meet up with us, and some of us have other things to do during the day (ie kids). See ya then!
Re: Sat 3/17 - I'm riding even though I don't have a green k
I can do 7 a.m., but you gotta carry all the warm clothes I'm sure I'm going to have peel off later in the ride.
Re: Sat 3/17 - I'm riding even though I don't have a green k
How about we head down Hudson Road (left at the Gulf Station on 117) through Hudson then to Giuseppi's in Northboro where we can pick up Doug Kennedy (if he's reading this thread) and then start off by doing some of the FMR route. We can continue from there and ride "backwards" along the Climb to the Clouds route to WaWa (to the Ranger Station only) and back?
Nix that. Saw forecast, already had my cold-ass ride for the week Wed PM w/Chris P. Gonna ride later w/Doug and Alan.
