WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
I'm assuming this is a given, as even though the weather sucks today, it's s'posed to be nice tomorrow. For the new folks (who are welcome and encouraged to join), Russ laid out the details here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6005, but here's the synopsis:
WNR = Wednesday night ride.
Meet at Stow Plaza for 5:30 roll-out. This means "be ready to clip in @ 5:30PM," NOT "arrive in your car at 5:30, then spend 10 minutes getting dressed, applying chamois cream, and pumping tires."
There MAY be a second group leaving from the Berlin park & ride at 5 that will meet up with the Stow group at the intersection of W. Acton and Boxborough Rds.
This is a no-drop ride, which in MRC-speak means "it may be hard, and you may fall off the back, but we'll wait for you." A and B groups will form as needed.

Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
In - any Berlin P&R takers?
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
I will be doing the WNR tomorrow (Weds) MORNING because of work scheduling. Could someone step up and be "B" leader in my absence?
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
I'll be joining you guys for tomorrow's ride.

Out of curiosity, how much light is there typically by the end of the ride this time of year? Do people bother with lights?

There was plenty of light last week. I didn't notice any lights...
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
Russ,
I will be happy to lead the "B" group from behind:)
Also, Patrick Goguen and his teammate from CF Racing (Andrew Goodale who lives in Maynard) would like to join the ride if they are welcome. Let me know if that is a problem. Patrick is a Cat 1, but he is not in shape yet and is a true gentleman to ride with. He is also incredibly supportive of younger riders -- I think it would be great for Matt and Ace to rub elbows.
BT
PS> Russ, how do I get "Masters Team Leader" untagged -- that's about 3 years and 15 pounds out of date.

Bruce, non-members are always welcome on our public rides (ones announced in "Group Rides & Events"). *As long as they wear a helmet.
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
PSA -- I will NOT be able to make it tomorrow so the Berlin crew will need to self navigate....
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
Clueless (I know, shocking) on route from Berlin. Headed to Stow unless someone knows it...
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
Chris posted a route from the P&R to the WNR partway down last week's thread (linked above by Stefan).Mkidd3 wrote:Clueless (I know, shocking) on route from Berlin. Headed to Stow unless someone knows it...
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM

Back in the game. See you at Berlin.
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
Reminder rolling at 5 from Berlin.
Re: WNR, 4/24 5:30PM
Going to be touch and go, depending ending time of a meeting. Might have to ride from office to intercept around Rt 111. Don't wait for me at Stow.
