Sat. Stow Ride...possible detour to FIRMMAN route?

Post by PatrickK »

Hey folks,

We doing a Stow ride this Saturday? 6AM?

If interest, I was thinking of linking up with the FIRMMAN route through Harvard/Shirley/Lancaster. This is a 26mile loop, combined with 1 Stow loop
should be about 50miles. Anyone interested? 18mph pace if you expect me to tell you where to turn

I am game- I need to be back by 9 AM- so I will cut out in Acton on the way back. We do need a little variety on the Saturday morning loops.....

We start at the DD in Stow. Here is a map (of the original "stow loop")

So is the plan to do 1 Stow loop at 6am. Then leave Stow to head out to Lancaster for the second loop around 7:15-7:30am finishing back at Stow? I would be up for this coming out from Boston.

Hi Vic,

I think that would end up being closer to 75miles which is more than I was looking for. My thinking was to branch off at
the Veryfine plant, head out to Prospect hil, then clockwise around FtDevens, when we loop around and end up 110 again, head to
Harvard Center. From there we follow the normal loop back to DD.

I have done most of the route. The section going through Devens and the Golf course is new to me.

Patrick,
So we want to meet up at Stow Plaza to start that loop & trek out to Lancaster at 6am; then the extended loop you are talking about would be roughly 50miles beginning & ending back at the Stow Plaza D&D?

Raining in Boston. Probably ride out later to meet up with the second loop, if there is one or even a group...
